    Hi All,

I've got a mid 2012 and and early 2014 MBA (both 13"). The logic board in the 2014 is fried, but the body is otherwise in good condition. By contrast the 2012 body is beat up, but the LB's working fine.

Before I go to the effort of opening them both up, does anyone know if it's possible to just put the 2014 logic board (+I/O + SSD etc) in the 2012 body? (I'd actually prefer just to swap the SSDs, but Apple changed the socket between the models *shakes fist*).

Just unscrew the bottoms and compare both motherboards?

if you swap one to one maybe you can manage to swap it, but the internal components including RAM and SSD are proprietary.
