I want to upgrade my wifi/bt card. I have a mid 2012 macbook pro retina. It has the stock wifi/bt card which is 802.11 a/b/g/n and BT 4.0

I want to ideally upgrade to BT 5.0. Are there any wifi cards from later MBP models with bt5 that can work?

Alternatively, I read a few threads and watched this video (linked below) where they upgrade to 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac wifi but those cards also have BT 4.0 on them even though in the video in system report it shows 4.2 before and after 4.2

But for the corresponding cards linked in the video they all say bluetooth 4.0 so I'm confused.

Ideal would be to ugprade to 5.0 but as an alternative can't I upgrade to 4.2??

compatible cards: BCM94331CSAX, BCM94331CDAX, BCM94360CS, BCM94360CSAX
