Okay, I know Oculus doesn't support Mac. But with the new GPUs in the release, does anyone have any insight on whether the headset would work with these machines?
I've worked with the Rift a lot in the past, I can't imagine any major issues so long as there's no weird gotchas with the Mac hardware. ie; the rift expects certain kinds of USB3 ports, and I'd need to get the HDMI adapter for USB-C/TB3.
I'm moving to a smaller apartment, and I'd kinda like to get rid of my tower PC so I can simplify and have more room. If this is an option, I think I'll slim down to a single Mac (and sell my Macbook Pro along with it... maybe.) to help pay for the shift.
Anyone have any insight or thoughts? I mean, it must be a powerful enough GPU for VR, what with Vive support incoming natively. I'd be dual booting for this.
Thanks.
