I, of course, am using OS X Tiger's Address Book to sync contacts to my iPhone. To be comprehensive, I have as much information as possible stored about each individual. For a good number of my contacts, I have middle names, too.

However, I don't want these to show up on the iPhone. Or at least I don't want to see them while I'm browsing the contacts list... is there a way to change this? Either on the iPhone or in address book would be perfectly alright.

And, further, no hacking/3rd party apps. I'm sure it could be done like that, but I don't want to dabble with that right now.

In my address book I can only add a first and last name, no middle name.

How did you get it to do middles names? If your adding after the first or part of the last, bingo - remove them from the address book. Maybe its just me, but if I had a friend who had lots of middle names I would be a little freaked out. 😀 Maybe a little OCD 😀 j/k
