I have a Behringer BCF2000 MIDI controller that I connect to my Mac via USB. I have a synthesizer that I want to control by using the computer. I don't have a MIDI out, or USB to MIDI cable, so I was wondering if anyone knew if I could go this route:

Computer via USB to BCF2000 via MIDI to synth.

I hear that Reason 3 doesn't send MIDI out, so that would be another issue.

Any advice would be appreciated! :)

Did you try it? It should work without any configuration. Just run a MIDI cable from the Out port of the BCF2000 to the In port on your synth.

Thanks for responding!

Yep, I tried it to no avail. I had the MIDI cable connected and everything.

Now, I know Reason 3 for mac doesn't send MIDI out (right?) so I used GarageBand and MIDIo, a plugin that is supposed to send MIDI out, but I'm not sure if I had that configured correctly.

MIDIo

If anyone is interested, the Synth that I am using is MIDINES, a MIDI cart that connects to a Nintendo.
