Folks,
It appears that my attempt to move iTunes library to an external NAS device has gone wrong.
Set up:
MBP with 10.6.8 and latest iTunes 10.6.1.
Existing Library was on Ready NAS NV +
iTunes library about 100G in size with music, videos, apps etc.
Decided to move the library to the new Ready NAS NV+ v2.
Process: In iTunes preferences select new destination for the library; followed by option to consolidate Library.
It appeared that process went smoothly.
Initial problem symptoms after syncing my iPhone 4s to MBP was that
songs would stop mid way and skip to next song;
mismatched artwork
wrong description for songs, eg wrong artist album etc.
Initially I thought that it was iPhone problem.
Had a look in iTunes on MBP and same problems were there.
I repointed iTunes to initial source on NV + but library still reference items on NV v2.
I attempted to consolidate back to NV, but it reports that there is no room (even there 200GB plus free).
What shall I do?
Please help.
Thanks in advance
