I bought my Macbook about a year ago before Snow Leopard came out, and when it did come out I used my friends Family edition to upgrade. So today I wanted to upgrade my hard drive so I went out and bought one. I used the OS X leopard disk that came with my macbook to format it, but I forgot my old harddrive has Snow Leopard. Is there any way to migrate my Snow Leopard hard drive to my new harddrive with Leopard on it? If not what would be the easy way to do that?
(and my friend now lives far away so borrowing his copy isn't an option)

I don't mind if I have to buy a copy of Snow Leopard I was just wondering if I can do it with out it, and still keep my Apps and stuff.

    Thanks

You'll need to buy it yourself; we do not support piracy on these forums.

Doesn't family edition have a certain number of activations anyway?

Family editions are for family members of one household.
