Migrating FCP 3 onto Mac Pro

Hi all,
I'm trying to figure out if I can migrate my old FCP versions (i have FCP 1 and FCP 3 upgrade) onto my new Mac Pro so I can buy the upgrade to FCP 7. There seems to be conflicting info on the apple site.
At the apple store they said I should be able to do it using Rosetta, but the Rosetta page on apple.com says pro apps like FCP are not supported.
Any ideas? I really don't want to shell out $1K+ for FCP 7!

you dont need to have the earlier version installed to buy the upgrade. you simply need your older serial number.
