Okay, so, after many dramas I upgraded my iMac Pro to Ventura from Mojave.
Opened Music app and understandably it hasn't made the connection to my old iTunes library as the library is on an external drive.
Started the Music app while holding option key to select a library.
Went to the library and it won't select... it just keeps drilling down to folder and file level of individual music.
How do I get it to use (and obviously update) my existing library?

I am having a similar issue.
I am used to Mojave with iTunes, and am setting up my Mac Studio (Ventura) with Music.

Initially I just copied my 'music' folder from my iTunes drive to another external drive and pointed to it in the music app. But I have to manually import EVERY album/playlist in order to maintain artwork etc, and I have over 700.

If I copy the library file to the new Mac will this avoid importing?
Do I need the itl file or the xml from iTunes.
The file in Ventura is named 'Music Library.musiclibrary'....!

The other question is, where should this file go?

Ok I manually imported ALL albums over the last few weeks, so all good now.....👍
