Ensure your existing machine is running the latest version of Lion and that you have an up-to-date Time Machine backup, then just do a Restore to the new machine.
Migration assistant will sort it all out for you.
As said above Time machine is probably the best option in this case. Last time I upgraded I connected both machines to the gigabit ethernet network and did it that way which took about 4 hours. I wouldn't fancy doing it over WiFi as it would take an eternity.

could it be done through thunderbolt? is it faster then ethernet? 4 hours still sound too long for me
I don't know, probably not. I used gigabit ethernet which is good for around 70MB/sec. The 4 hours was for a nearly full 250GB drive.
I agree with the above posts. Only thing to remember is that when moving house, some house cleaning is needed. I find shedding some files and progs makes the transfer even more pleasant
