Hi!

My wife is interested in getting a new imac for our house. Right now my macbook is on the fritz, so I would like to do a migration assistant to the new computer. She has a macbook air and would also like to do a migration assistant. Can you migrate over two computers to two different users to a new mac?

Hi gb,

I haven't done this myself, but if you set up the new computer as new, and then use Migration Assistant in the Utilities folder on the new machine, you can transfer user accounts, home folders etc from the old ones. I can't see a reason why you couldn't do this with more than one computer?

Will be trying this soon

Hi there,

I just ordered a Mac Mini and I intend to try this out. I have an old iMac with OS 10.4 that houses my iTunes library, my e-mail, and other files. However, my iPhoto library and some other files are on my MacBook Pro. So I'm going to try to migrate from both computers to the Mini.

I'll let you know how it goes...
