Brand new Macbook Air owner here and super pumped about my new toy. I am using migration assistant to transfer from my old Macbook (regular not Pro... I know shameful) and it says it is going to take 24 hours over WiFi. Is this normal? How can I speed this up if not? Please help!!!

That is definitely normal... I always use a wired method for initial backup (restore).

    Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8J2 Safari/6533.18.5)

Yeah it's normal 36 hours for my mini. Via cable it's alot less

I had no idea you could even do that over wifi.

I would never trust that, hard connection only IMO, especially a 24 hour transfer.
