Experienced OSX user here, this may be the first time I've needed help! Frustrating situation:

I'm restoring my MBP to a recent backup (wanted to get rid of all hidden files from creative cloud software that I installed on my machine). I'm using migration assistant from a fresh install. See image attachment. "Macintosh HD - Data" is the last OS I used that I want to revert back to. "MBP-2022 - Data" is actually an SSD carbon copy clone of an older machine that I do not want to use - happy to delete it actually if it make this easier.

The issue I'm having is that I reinstalled OSX Ventura (same OS and version number that my last backup was at), but when I do migration assistant it's only giving me options for backups for "MBP-2022 - Data". I need the other "Macintosh HD - Data", but it won't list that as an option. Macintosh HD was a full Time Machine backup of my system - all my files are in fact in there. How can I get migration assistant to see it? If all else fails I'll reinstall all the software from scratch and copy over documents from the backup, but hoping I can just revert to my last backup. Thank you.

Need to get back to work on this computer so I'm just re-installing everything and customizing all my settings and apps again. And copy over my documents. Hours of work ahead. What a pain. Thought Time Machine was better than this. I would have just kept creative cloud on my computer if I knew it was going to be like this to restore back an hour.

Going to use CCC from now on for re-storable backups.
