Migration Assistant - Windows XP Help

    Sorry if this is the wrong board, but I wasn't quite sure where to put this. Migration Assistant tells me I need to make sure Outlook Express is closed before continuing. However, surprise surprise, Outlook Express is not running and hasn't run on this computer for several years. Restarting the computer does not remedy the situation either. Any ideas?

    Something else on the system might be using part of Outlook Express. Right click the taskbar and start Task Manager. Look in the list of running processes for: msimn.exe. If it is there, click on the file and choose to stop the process.

    I already looked for that in the task manager. msimn.exe was not listed there.
