Its literally a project making sure it gets taken off your wrist without making contact with the watch body and even more nerve racking trying to charge the watch with it on it!

I agree the magnet makes life interesting - it works well keeping it on your wrist, and is just as much of a PITA when trying to get it off.
No problems charging it or putting it on the charger though.

On the bright side, it is very comfortable and I have little to no problem with the magnet slipping on it while wearing it.

I upgraded from the series 3 Milanese to the 4. It’s definitely of lesser quality and u have more problems with this one taking off than the previous.

Yeah, I'm not a fan either... I tried one for a bit, but returned it for the above reasons and the fact I had to keep adjusting it, which annoyed me.

best looking band.. already scratched my watch.

so i'm a little bit indecided, but i keep on using it... it also feels more breathable than the sport loop (just my feeling, although it may sound like a non sense)

I’m new to the Milanese and after half a week with it - I really love it - super simple to take on/off both off my hand and off the watch itself. When it is off my wrist I set it on its side so I can use nightstand mode and its never worried me about the band coming back to scratch the watch. Love the feel of it and am very happy with it. The gold looks amazing too with the gold watch.

I do frequently swap bands because of exercising and it isn’t as described for me at least. My experience with the link band in the Apple Store was not so great - because there is no flexibility in the band it felt like I was going to destroy either the watch or band to slide that one into place.

taking the Milanese off I'm assuming everyone loosens magnet out as far as they can while still clasping it?

and also what about charging? do you allow the loop to go under the charger and scratch the bottom of the charger?

I set the watch on its side like I’ve always done to use the nightstand mode - the band retains its wrist shape while its in this postition on my table at least.

And yes I loosen the magnet and attach it again so its like I have really fat wrists to take it off and use it in nightstand mode.

im going to continue to have patience with it. Aesthetically I do prefer it over the sport band. Comfort/fit wise as well.

however the fun can be taken away quickly when you have to worry about it 24/7....I just feel like with the sport band on I have zero worry.

Seems a bit extreme. I have a Launch Day SS S0 that I used for well over 1000 days with the stock Apple Milanese Loop. There is no scratching to the back crystal and nothing I would consider abnormal ware to the SS watch body. I have never taken to polishing my Apple Watch by the time it was replaced with a SS S3.

Here is my S0 used everyday with the Milanese Loop 1000+ days never polished.

Who in the heck looks at the magnetic charger? tThat said, just prop it on its side (crown up) and let it charge in nightstand mode. The official Apple loop is ridged enough to support the watch in this orientation.

I think you are doing it wrong? It is super easy to take off. I understand with the new loops the magnet can pull through? On the old ones it can not. So try taking it off pretending you can't slide the end through the part that connects to the watch. Loosen it to nearly max and slide the entire watch off your wrist still in a circle. Same with putting it on.

I've had a Milanese Loop as long as I have had an Apple Watch - which is maybe a couple of years.
I am wearing it today.
I have never had a problem with it - don't find it difficult to use and it has NEVER scratched my watch.
I just don't get all the angst and hate for the Loop...it's up there in high rotation with my other 5 favourite bands...SS Link, Black Sport Band, Breitling SS band, RAF Nato Band.

I often find myself going back to the Milanese Loop because of its ease of use, the way it looks (still like new after 2 years!) and its durability.

Funny it's my favorite band, and the one I use the most during the summer. It actually gets the most notice of my bands. Never had it scratch the watch... I guess I've just gotten used to putting it off an on without too much hassle. I bought a knock off one in black. It looked pretty good but the magnet wasn't as strong. During a trip it actually snapped at the magnet and links... Luckily I had the sport black till they sent a new one from Amazon.

The original Apple one is still my favorite though. It is just so easy to adjust the band when I workout to just relaxing, and it has remained in real good shape

Do the magnets of the new ones pass through? That would be a big negative for me.

40 mm here. it passes throug

I had speculated a change like this needed to be made so loop and closed link bracelets can be used in conjunction with AirPower. I understand AirPower may never come out, but I noticed early in the year that the Milanese loop, leather loop and link bracelets were no longer being sold in stores. Only online. It wouldn't be prudent to have these on the sales floor if they don't work with AirPower.

Again, I'm only speculating that theoretically, AirPower wouldn't work through the metal bands. As for the leather loops? they may have been too thick to work... or maybe they just decided to retire them.

The Milanese loop is the one a few bands that I chose not to own. I just don’t care for its loose design, and I prefer the rigidness of the link beyond personally. But even though I do think the Milanese loop is a nice looking beyond all together.

I have just bought the black Milanese to go with my Space Gray series 4. Aesthetically this is my favourite, is fully adjustable, and ought to be quite breathable. No scratches yet and, although the material is meant to be very hard, I have not noticed any obviously rough edges.

I have felt the odd minor tug of hairs on my arm and I think that it might also be slightly inclined to slide along my arm unless I fix it fairly tight. These may be disadvantages relative to the sports loop.

Apple say it is not water resistant. Does this mean it might rust if I swim with it?

I have bought it partly because I am slightly disappointed with the black sports loop, neither of which is as pure a black as I would like. But this is also fully adjustable and light.

I would not advise swimming with that band - get a sport band for that - great material for swimming with.

Milanese loop is the best band I've got since the original Apple Watch. Still wearing it daily on my Series 4. It suits every Apple Watch really, the SS, the Aluminum, the space grey, the silver.

I don’t _think_ it should be an issue swimming with the Milanese loop band or Link band. They both are constructed of 316 L stainless, the biggest factor you have to do is make sure you thoroughly rinse it off with fresh water out of the pool or ocean, and then dry it off. Many have used the Milanese loop with swimming and I don’t believe it’s posed an issue before.
