So I was at the store, there for my appointment, and I was informed you could only try on the two you like the most.
I tried on the Milanese loop (which I purchased) and the leather loop (which is bulky and not very soft)
The employee noticed I was very undecided but knew I wanted to buy it so he kept giving me more watches to try despite the limit.
Afterwards, an employee overheard me say that I'm really curious to see what a black sport Milanese watch would look like (black sport and you buy a Milanese on the side, 400+150= $550 which is $150 less than the Milanese SS)
They told me they can't swap bands but one employee did it discretely and gave it to me. I took pictures.
It looks good, but the SS is better.

See for yourselves!

You're welcomed!! (I've read people asking about this)

when i mentioned this combo to my watch handler he nearly choked and said this "frankenwatch" would look hideous. But now I see that notion is overblown and looks good. Thanks for the imgs.

These are the highest quality pics of this posted yet. Thank you! I like it.

I agree. Not as nice as SS. But for the price it fits my needs. This is what I purchased.

Will the original poster be buying this combo after trying it first hand ?

I don't like the look. The Milanese band looks awesome on the SS version.

Especially the part where the band meets the watch does not look genuine and Apple-like..

I saw a photo somewhere and I was actually surprised how much I liked it. The SS SG that is. The flat aluminum doesn't look quite as good.

I put it together in the store during my resale pitch and it looked awesome, imo. I'm getting it as my second band.

I know you were looking for space gray with Milanese loop, but here is sport aluminum with Milanese.

Milanese loop with space grey sport???

I have a Milanese loop Apple Watch coming today. I have been having second thoughts about the stainless steel scratching when I exercise, which is the main reason I want the watch.

So I ordered a space grey Sport which will be here something in the next 3-5 weeks. But I love the Milanese loop band.

Since the Sport is space grey, will it look funny if I get a Milanese loop on it?

Will the two different finishes (stainless steel for the band, grey aluminum for the watch) be very obvious?

The nearest store is not near, so I can't try it out.

Thanks.

If I were concerned about scratching during workouts (which I'm not), I would get a bumper case ONLY for that activity, and then have a nice looking stainless steel watch the rest of the time.

You can use Mixyourwatch to see how other bands/cases will look. I think the milanese loop looks better with the silver aluminum than the space gray. That's just my personal opinion.

In person it might look quite different as the band itself has polished pieces, like the clasp and and the connector ends. Matched up with matte aluminum is probably not gonna look right.

I wouldn't do this. The Milanese is Stainless steel and the Space grey watch is Aluminium. Those 2 metals will react with each other over time. Might be ok to start with but Its really not a good idea long term.

I ordered the 42mm Space Gray with Black Spot Band, but after trying on the Millanese Loop in store, I went ahead and ordered one separately. So I have been very curious as to how the two will look with each other. On mixyourwatch.com, it just looks okay, but those are stock photos.

In these however, it looks quite nice! I think the two metals are complimentary in a way. I wanted a band for more stylish occasions where the Sport band wouldn't be appropriate. Any chance you can show us more pictures, Oppressed? I'd personally like to see a few with it on your wrist. Thanks! :D

It actually doesn't look too bad in those pics. It only looks off where the band slides in to the body of the watch.

I was thinking about ordering the silver aluminum Sport and getting the milanese loop to save some money but was afraid how it would look, especially at that same point where the 2 materials meet. I might have to reconsider.
