Milanese Magnet sticking to Macbook?

Does anyone with the official Apple milanese loop have a problem with the magnet sticking to their Macbook Pro when typing? I got a black HappyCell milanese loop from Amazon, and it sticks to the lower right hand corner of my Macbook Pro (I wear it on my right arm). Is this isolated to the HappyCell and other third party milanese loops?

I think it's just the nature of the magnetic hold that the Milanese Loop-style bands have. I have one from JeTech and it does the same thing. I'd be surprised if Apple's did not do it as well.

Out of curiosity, I just checked my leather loop with my MacBook Pro and it doesn't stick at all. In fact, it's resting on my MPB as I type this. No sticky. Not sure about the Milanese loop though.

I had a HappyCell leather loop as well that didn't have as strong of magnets, and wouldn't stick to my MacBook. I ended up returning it because the leather started to peel from the metal areas. Maybe I'll have to get an Apple leather loop. I like the breathable nature of the Milanese, but the magnet sticking to the computer is driving me crazy at work today.

It's not the Band which seeks the MBP it's vice versa. This is caused by the magnets inside the MBP.
Also is the MBP made from aluminium, which isn't a ferromagnetic material, so magnets do not stick on your MBP.
The closing of the leather loop is also made from non ferromagnetic material, so it isn't influenced by the magnets in the MBP.
I hope this answers your question.

I have the official milanese from apple and a 2010 mbp 13 inch. Mine doesn't stick there, but I wear it on my left hand so it never really goes to the right side. It does however constantly cause the macbook to sleep. I guess the magnetic sensor for when the lid closes is somewhere on the left side. It is honestly pretty annoying.

Can you check if the official Milanese magnet sticks to the right hand side of the trackpad, like in the photo I posted in the first post? It was only the magnet that stuck there, not the rest of the loop.

Yeah, my MacBook is older but something in almost the same spot is grabbing it there.

Thanks for checking. That's too bad to hear. I really liked the look and feel of the Milanese, but having it constantly grabbing that magnet while typing was pretty annoying.

I have a SSD so I don't think a magnet will bother it.

Looked like a classic in the picture. Or have you swapped the drive?
