I ordered a Feather+ at the end of last week. Since I wasn't even aware it was a brand new item I just lucked out on the timing since it must have been just released when I placed my order.

Service from Mime was excellent. I ordered late in the day on Friday and it was here Monday although I just got around to putting it on today.

The installation went flawlessly. I've always had issues with plastic protectors and was scared I would screw up this nice glass one. I did the hinge method, a steamy bathroom environment and their sticky dust removal sheet. It went on with no bubbles at all which was a relief and looks great. Now, I hope it holds up well with no chipping like some have reported with the std. Feather.

If you have any other glass screen protectors in the past, how is the oleophobic coating compared to the feather+?

Sorry, this is my 1st glass protector. It is better than the cheap plastic one I had on as a temporary measure but I'm afraid I can't compare it to any other glass protectors.

I do love the .15mm thickness though. You would have a hard time knowing there is even a protector on the phone and the holes line up perfectly.

Oleophobic coating on the feather+ feels better than the one on my spigen nano did.

I also have to say that installation was the easiest I've had. Maybe I'm getting better at it, but it just went on in one shot just like the videos. No massaging out bubbles at all. The preinstall film is genius. I wish all protectors came with them. Just rip it off and immediately put on the protector. I used a couple of pieces of tape to hold it over and hover it in place before dropping it. I did it on a couch with a dog and two cats watching and thanks to the film the install is dust free.

It is crazy thin though. I suspect the adhesive layer is half the thickness.

Ah, I missed the + in your post. I guess no harm in trying. Post back on your findings.

They were very nice when I emailed them and gave me a code which would apply to the Feather +, bringing the total to $15.97. I'll report back on how it compares to the original once I receive it!

Here's a photo of the feather+ installed.

It's actually flexible enough that I peeled it up after the photo to get rid of that spec of dust by the button.

How recessed does the cut out hole for the home button feel? I know if you have a regular tempered glass screen protector, you can definitely feel the deep hole on the home button on the 5s because of touch ID. How much thinner would you say this protector is around the home button, do you feel any difference?

It depends how thick the tempered one you're comparing with. Significant difference with a feather compared to anything above 0.3mm in my opinion. Feels very close to a regular plastic protector.

It's about .05 thinner than the .20 and about .15 thinner than the .30?

Subjectively it's a huge difference how much thinner it feels than a standard glass protector, and it's definitely thinner feeling than the nano-slim.

Have you ever used the iLoome's screenmate flexible glass screen protector? If you have can you tell the difference between the flex and the feather+ in terms of thickness ideally around the home button?
