Panasonic, the market and technology leader in Plasma TV, today announced U.S. pricing and availability of it’s much anticipated 103-inch diagonal High Definition Plasma TV – the world’s largest. The TH-103PZ600U with 1080p capability will have an SRP of $69,999.95 and is expected to be available for delivery in time for Christmas 2006. It will also offer a three-year in-home limited warranty*, unprecedented in the industry.

I love how the entire image is grainy except for the image on the TV.
I noticed that straight away too. Its wierd, If there was no TV in the image, I'd guess this was an old pic due to everyones clothes. Its like someone took a party pic from 1994 and photoshoped a huge tv into it.

Na, it is just marketing at its best. ;) :)

They could have designed the bezel and stand better for 70k eh?

When I'm watching porn on this sucker, the bezel will be the last thing I'm looking at. :D

caution: that might cause nightmares ....

time to mortgage the old house for one of these and a part time security guard to watch people who try to touch it or put drinks on it ....

They probably couldn't come up with anything that looked nicer that could actually support the bloody thing!

I do believe we're witnessing the good ol' "simulated screen image" trick. It just stands out more here than it otherwise would. I'm sure everything would look a lot nicer if the picture were smaller. Of course, then you could see just how friggin big the TV is.

If I were going to spend $70,000 on a TV, I'd want a lifetime warranty.
Whew, for a second there, thought I was the only person thinking this way... :p

The people in that picture obviously don't own a dog.

White couch with food lying around punks ...

It's running on the new Panasonic Ultra-Reality™ Engine digital signal processor. More realer than real. :D

I also think they fast-forwarded 30 years into the future. The TV image looks to be Ultra-High Definition. :p
