Hi there
iPad mini 4
I previously had the screen replaced or the digitizer is it?
It’s been absolutely fine for perhaps a year and now I find the home button slightly stiff.
There’s almost a slight click when I click press it.

I’m wondering if this could be fixed without Dismantling the iPad mini
For example it is some sort of lubrication possible.
If not what would a clever man there… Just take it in and pay for repair?

PS is the home button part is the replacement digitizer or screen another words given that there’s a couple of slight crack in the screen which is no problem to me really if I change the screen does it come with the button with the button.?

Thanks very very much

What helped with my original iPad Air - I'm a man of absolutely no culture - was turning the iPad off. Then, while it's off, press the Home button repeatedly in varying strength for a few dozen times. Whatever was inside (small crumbs? anything else?) got crushed by this and I never had to do it again. Maybe this works for you, too?

I'd try some electronics contact cleaner/spray. It's non-conductive and may clean gunk put from the edges and free the button.

Stop putting your pizza-greasy fingers on your iPad. ;-)

The home button is held in place by several screws and a bracket. You'd have to disassemble it to get to the area to either loosen/tighten that.

Thankyou all for your comments.
Luckily I live 8n Thailand where repairs are very reasonable, so I’ll porbably get a new screen but I’ll try both your tricks first
