Wondering about a Mini 6 for notetaking and travelling with Pencil 2.

I have an old Pro 10.5 with Pencil 1, my only concern is real estate on the screen for note taking.

Does anyone use OneNote with the 6 and would you be able to share a pic/screenshot of how it looks like with readable written notes and perhaps the lines if that is ok?

This is what I'd use on the iPad Pro currently.

I can select the other line widths if you like?

That is really helpful, if you could show it with the largest spacing which is the 4th option on Rules Lines for me then that would absolutely superb!! How do you find the writing etc for taking notes? Assume you are on Pencil 2?

This is medium lines on the 10.5 Pro

No problem. Here is the paper with the largest lines.
Yes, this is using the Pencil 2 on the mini 6.
I have only just performed these tests and haven’t actively used it for note taking. It’s a cute sized iPad, but I can’t gauge whether it’s for you or not. I do also have an iPP 10.5 and iPP 12.9” as well. The biggest screen obviously gives you the most writing room, but the smallest is the easiest to hold. If you need to be mobile, then the mini might be best. It could also feel small after using the iPP 10.5”.

Great, thank you! Are you keeping the iPP 10.5" out of interest?

I use OneNote on a 12.9 Pro and i bought the mini 6 to complement it. Basically you should have the same room to write on, but as the Mini is physically smaller you will have to write with smaller text size. If you write in the same (physical) size on both iPads you won’t be able to fit the same amount of text. After a few days with the mini I can conclude that it’s good for meeting minutes but not for longer texts. Compare it to using a smaller sized moleskine notebook to a bigger one.

No problem. Yes, I am keeping my iPP 10.5”. I actually really like that size and I’m torn as to whether I will upgrade to an iPP 11” next time (and keep my iPP 12.9”) or just stick with the 12.9” and mini combination. I have a while to think about that though.

I've decided there is really nothing wrong with my 10.5" iPP, bought an adhesive pencil holder, a lot cheaper than upgrading :)
