iPad mini Mini 7 256 is on the way !

My Mini 7 is on the way. This will be my first iPad, what if anything should I be aware of as I set it up for the first time ?
I'm all Windows here btw, so there are no other Apple products... yet.

Guys I'm looking at these two 'essentials' for my Mini. Are these correct for the mini 7 and or are there better products to protect the unit. What else would I need.

If you have windows, Microsoft OneNote has been working pretty great for me to keep notes synced across my iPad mini and other devices. It works with both typed notes and the apple pencil (and you can mix and match in the same note).
