Currently using a 2.16ghz C2D MacBook (GMA950, Leopard , 2gb Ram) with a 20” ACD, in closed lid mode. I notice that some of the animations (specifically expose) run quite poorly - ‘stutters’, dropped frames etc.

Looking to buy a 2ghz Mini to hook up to the ACD. Aside from the slight speed difference, the specs are the same – does this mean that I’m likely to experience the same graphic stutters?

It’s not a deal breaker, but I’d like to know in advance if any one with a Mini/20”ACD combo experiences this.

Cheers.

I've got a mini 2.0 C2D with a 20" ACD and it works absolutely perfectly. I've had no graphics issues at all.

The display minis in the local Apple Store are connected to 20" & 23" ACDs and they look good too.
