I have a, probably VERY stupid question.. I'm really new to the Mac stuff so bear with me ok?

Will the mini Displayport probably stay on the next MacBook Pro?

Yes, it will stay, as it is license free and is quite a good catch.

Yep, it'll stay. A lot of manufacturers are moving to the displayport standard, so it's probably here to stay for a while.
