Mini DisplayPort - Need Advice

Talk to me about sending audio AND video to my HDMI Sharp Aquos.

Am I obsolete or is there a $100 converter box to allow me to keep my TV for video output?

It's a mini displayport which apple invented... There is no converter from mini displayport to hdmi, or to fullsize displayport... Apple controls what you can use it for, and they only sell adapter to mini-dvi and full dvi...
