Has anyone tried usingthe adapter on a new Mac Pro?

The adapters clearly *still* have problems (after 3 months!!!) with MacBook Pros. How about w/Mac Pros? The new graphics cards come with a mini-display port, and you need the adapter to plug in 2 displays.

Anyone try it?
 
This seems to be widespread. We're about to get a MB Pro for my wife, and I'm due for an upgrade - I only keep machines for three years, and the three years are almost up (AppleCare expires), but seriously, Apple needs to fix this. I've been using a 30 in Dell monitor for 2.5 years with no issues! Just plug it and it works. And now this?

Apple's QA really is slipping!
