hey guys,

i have a sony minidv DCR TRV-30. It connects to iMovie and I can see pictures and import video. It does not connect to iChat AV or Delicious Library. It's not recognized at all. It's connected via the Firewire port.

I'm running the latest version of Tiger (10.4.6)

Any ideas?

thanks

Well just to state the obdvious, is it in camera mode?

Okay now that that is done try going through the System Profiler Utility and see if that recognizes the camera on the computer. If it does its a problem with iChat. Also make sure that 2 programs are not both set up to use your camera at the same time. Hence trying to capture in iMovie and have a confrence in iChat

Ok. I tried some stuff on the Apple site, and now I can get iChat to recognize the camera, but it says it's in use by another program. It's definitely not. Any more ideas?

Also, it is listed under Firewire in the System Profiler.

thanks
