I bought a mini dvi to s-video adapter for my macbook. I follow all the directions I can find on the mac and the internet and it still won't work. The picture I get is in black and white, and split down the middle of the tv screen and is very flickery. I have the mac hooked to the tv, like i said, via an S-video connection. The Tv is on of the first CRT HD Sony Trinitrons. I'm pulling my hair out, please help!

Have you also tried the Composite output of the adapter, it's the yellow one?

If you've still got a VCR, you could try to put your S-Video signal through that, as it solved my black and white issues with S-Video outputs of computers.

Ive tried the composite and S-video on two different tvs and have had the same result. Do you think if I ran the signal through my a/v receiver I would get different results?
Ha! who still has a VCR?!? Oh, wait my parents do!
