My Mac Mini M1 appears to have a problem with its ethernet connection to the network.

Initially I thought that it was the modem as access to the internet had stopped. So I rebooted the modem. No go.

Then I tried accessing the NAS, also ethernet connected. Still no go.

I checked the settings, all looked good.

Then I disabled the ethernet port and enabled WIFI and connected it to the network that way.

All works now.

I powered down the Mini, unplugged it, let it rest then powered it back up. Problem still there.

Have there been any reports of M1 hardware failures like this? The Mini is 6 mths old. Might have to go back.

Thanks.

Yep. Swapped it to another port in the router and then grabbed a new cable and tried it.

Anyway, an update, it's working again. Not sure why.
