Can someone please tell me how to connect the Mini to the docking Dell monitor? Would I just connect the usb-c out of the Mini to one of the usb-c ports of the Dell and have all the ports available to me on the Dell as well as picture?

Yes, be sure to use the included USB-C cable that comes with the monitor or another similar spec'd cable and not like a USB 2.0 Charging cable you maybe have laying around as those won't work. (The joy of USB-C being a universal plug, but not a universal cable)
