Mini PCI-E SSD

I believe the airport card in the Power Mac G5 is a normal mini PCI-E. Can it be removed and one of those netbook SSD's be used in its place as a quick boot drive?

From what I've seen review and spec was, those aren't particularly great to begin with... Don't know that i'd bother if I were you... But feel free to prove me wrong!
