    Hi Folks,

Had a quick look around and didn't find anything that quite looked like the same problem I have, but forgive me if it's been raised before. This may very well be a Sony issue, rather than Mac, but wondered if some smart person here might be able to help.

Bought a Mac Mini Server a couple of weeks ago and love it. Got a Magic Trackpad and Bluetooth keyboard too, so all is great and wires are virtually non existent.

Plugging into my Sony Bravia direct using hdmi (port 3 on telly) is a pleasure - great pic and no problems. Until I switch on my Sony Bluray home theatre, which goes into hdmi port 1 of the telly, at which point the trackpad response becomes very jumpy and inaccurate and the connection to both the wireless keyboard and trackpad gets lost, reconnected, lost, etc. Using a USB mouse and keyboard gets rid of the jerkiness ( works fine in other words).

Moreover, if I connect the Macmini directly to the home theatre's hdmi port, using it as the gateway to the TV, and which works fine for my windows laptop, the picture on the telly goes blank for a second or two every five to ten seconds or so, like the system is synching over and over.

Any thoughts? All is connected correctly, so I'm wondering if there is some Mac secret all you long time users know that I don't?

    Any help much appreciated.

Ha. Typical. Write it down and you get an idea.

It was the Bluetooth card for the wireless rear speakers in the back of the home theatre system that seems to be interfering with my Bluetooth devices. Pull the card and problem disappears.

Just got to figure out why and how to fix it next....

Posted to save others the trouble if they get a similar problem.

...still haven't looked at the second problem - the periodic blanking when I go thru the home theatre hdmi port. Will post if I figure that out.
