What is the minimum spec camera for PCB rework?

I discovered the items in the $20 - $120 range (besides all being identical products despite the price range) have a roughly half second lag. Naturally the cheap ones do not publish this spec! That was a fine $20 lesson. So I'll try asking for advice this time.

I'm looking more towards the 'hobbiest' end of things in scope. Replace the occasional back-light fuse or LVDS connector on a logic board or a firewire or USB chip on some device. Not talking about CPU/GPU rework stations and that level of work.

What is the minimum microscope camera that gives magnification at a working distance of a few inches (which the cheap ones do OK enough) but has a small enough lag to work live with it watching the screen?

Sporting a high end MBP here so there should be no restrictions on the computer end.

Thanks!
