After I updated my iPad Air 5 to iPadOS 17 on Monday, I experienced several small annoying errors. Fortunately, not bugs that destroy the use of the device, but they are just annoying to look at.

Eg. Some of the app icons in the App Library appear blank. When you open the folder, the icons appear again, then go back to blank in the overview. This switches to the different folders. This is in both iPadOS 17 and 17.0.1.

Another small thing that I doubt is a bug at all. Inside Location Services the Home app appears 2 times, it didn't in iOS 16. Anyone else experiencing this? This is in both iPadOS 17 and 17.0.1. It's the same on my iPhone.

Another thing that only applies to iOS 17.0.1. The Photo app shortcuts have been removed from within the Shortcuts app. It was there in iOS 17.0, but not in the new update from today.

Anyone else experiencing the same thing, and have you found any other small bugs?

I also had two app icons whited out in the App Library. I deleted the apps and redownloaded and that fixed the issue.

Thanks for the advice. Tried both and that fixes it for now. But after a restart, the icons are white again, and as I said it switches between the folders, so even if an app is deleted and installed again, the problem just moves.

BTW. The Photo app is back in the Shortcut menu again. Don't know why it disappeared.

Sadly hasn’t stuck for me either. It was fine for 2 days, but I suddenly have 4 icons that are misbehaving again…

edit: a workaround seems to be to just install any app (or possibly from the same category). You can delete it straight after.

When a charging lead is inserted, the charge icon and beep go on and off every few seconds. The workaround is to switch the iPad (11” Pro, 4th gen) off. It auto switches on when it gets to 100%

I contacted support yesterday with no fix in sight for drag & drop with using hand gestures or smart keyboard and trackpad.
All drag and drop functions seem to work between other native apps except for when trying to do so when dragging from email to calendar to create a calendar event from an email. Clicking or tapping on a date within email gives dialogue to create a calendar event, however when the email does not have a date/time to tap or click the only alternative is to drag and drop which does not work. It was working in the last version of ios16 And first iteration of iOS 17 prior to any patches.
