Updated iChat?

Surely this proves that the Apple phone will be released at next weeks Macworld. ;)

i think the "this document will be updated as more information is available" comment is much more interesting. Is this posted with all updates?

That's a good point! I think this is what some people are saying it is, updated certificates to work with the 'iChat Mobile'...

Well when I downloaded it it had "(Universal)" next to it and you're running PPC, not sure if that has anything to do with it.

There are separate Universal and PPC ones...I got the PPC one for my PowerBook. But yes, it's probably limited to iChat 3.

Have you ever heard of a 4.5 megabyte certificate? Seems a little fishy.

Well duh, it is after all, an 'iChat Mobile' update. They probably realized there was some other bug (the certificate thing) and decided to go ahead and package the 'iChat mobile' support and leave the 'this will be updated...' ;)

This update secretly makes all macs compatible with the iChat mobile :)
Crafty! And spot on. But wait, doesn't a 4.5 MB "certificate" break security rules??!

The iChat mobile is definitely coming. And it will be my next phone, should Apple actually release the damn thing in the UK. My Sony Erricson K750i is starting to look a little dated.. ;)

why isnt this on the front page? now we just need someone to "peer" inside and find hidden references to iphone! we know its in there somewhere, i had a look and all i could find were chocolate bunnies!

I have reindeer and a Santa... :D

For easter, we got a HUGE bunny. Was like 14"s high

Back on topic though, anyone notice this?

If I open up the Disk Image found here, I get 22nd Dec 2006 as the date Created and Modified, looks like this was made a while ago, but only released today.

The Plot Thickens!!! (well, im not sure it actually does, is this significant?)

Yay, finally fixed the encryption timeouts.

No, this is not a harbinger or an iPhone, its a timely fix for encryption errors and nothing more. 4.5 MB would include the installer.

Please help: After iChat update, computer is hosed

Has anyone had problems after the update? After the iChat downloaded and asked for a reboot, my computer "blinks" after it boots up. The finder and menu are blinking in and out and I can't do anything. I tried various start up options and put in my Apple disk to repair permissions and still same problems. Anyone else have this problem and can anyone help or provide ideas on how to get it back working? Can you uninstall or "go back" prior to the update?

Thanks in advance.
