adiblasi, YouTube geek, had the pleasure of opening a brand new, in box, TAM, and he posted a video about it on YouTube.

    The thing is beautiful.

Really was state-of-the-art at the time.

Pretty cool. Never seen one up close. I remember Seinfeld had one during one season of the show.

amazing! Mine is boxed and was fun opening it as a used unit, a new one must be special!

They did not seem to know a lot about it though, power supply etc.

Just hope they don't get one that had the TAM buzz, sure Apple won't fix it now

What I wonder is with this or with the Apple IIc on listed on here recently. If they had been sold by a retailer that had just misplaced the stock for all of these years. Would Apple have to give you 1 year of Applecare and the option to extend to 3 years.

Since Apple still gives full Applecare based on the purchase date by the end user from a retailer.

Wow,... That thing was really beautiful, and amazing. Apple couldn't have been more correct when they said, "Design for the future," in the intro as well. Great find, and kudos to Al for the video.

Where is an Apple IIc? Marketplace? eBay??

LOL! That would be hilarious if something failed on it!

Sorry to sound stupid, but is there any way to hook up a TAM to an ethernet cord and get some semblance of high-speed internet?

    ^^^

The seller probably put it in there because he knew who was buying it - a person with a large Apple/YouTube presence...

    Mine has! :)

A G3 500mhz Sonnet upgrade card, plus a 10/100 network card. Runs on my DSL with no problems at all.
