Hello,
Just recive my MBP 15" 2016.
I want to connect it wirelessly to my Samsung smart TV. I have tried "Mirror for Samsung TV" app but there is too much latency. I also want to stream in 4k if it is possible. Do you have any idea (but not the Apple TV) ?
Thanks a lot !

Is there any solution to use the TV as a second monitor of the macbook pro wirelessly ?

Apple TV is probably your best bet but it's never going to be great as a pure second monitor, fine for media and stuff though.

Yes many but they will all show latency over wifi and only very few will stream 4K (not that latency matters once you are streaming a video).

As other have said it takes a cable to avoid any latency issues at the moment.

What are you wanting to stream at 4K?

No app needed for using an Apple TV; it's just like connecting another monitor. But as they say above, there's some lag.
