Mirroring iMac & Macbooks

Not sure if anyone can help but I wondered if there's a way of automatically 'mirroring' what's on my iMac to my Macbook and vice versa. Basically I work on both and at the end of each day I have to spend time going through and copying over the files i worked on each day from one mac to another.

Is there anyway of automating this - maybe even through Time Machine?
