What’s the best way to mirror iPhone pictures to my tv
I’m on a budget of £100

You could look for a used Apple TV device and then either use its built-in photos app or use AirPlay to mirror your phone screen.

would 1st 2nd or 3rd do ? Found some cheap older gens for sale

I just bought the lightning to HDMI and so far it’s been working great. I was able to rent and watch Trolls from the Apple TV app with no problems and YouTube videos.
What’s funny is when the phone is connected to the tv and you have the camera pointed towards the tv.

Not sure about those but a 4th gen will do exactly what you want. Seems a bit awkward and fussy to hook your phone up to the TV with a cable.

I’m after a 3rd gen as that’s the cheapest one that can do 1080p

Its discontinued and not supported anymore (8 years old) but it can still AirPlay Mirror an iPhones display. Keep in mind only the large iPhones exceed 1080p, mirroring a smaller resolution on a larger resolution screen will have black lines. Although you can probably stretch to fit or something.

Look for the AppleTV 3 Rev A if possible.

I have the iPhone 7 and will be getting the gen 3 Apple TV
I won’t get black lines will I ?
It’s only for photos so I’m guessing you can tilt the iPhone horizontally and it’ll fill the screen

can not login to my Apple account on the Apple TV ? It says something about a verification code, I then get an alert on my iPhone and click allow. Then on the Apple TV I click next but it fails and has to start again

It gives me a code on my phone but nowhere to enter it on the Apple TV box ?
