Mirroring on original iPad with HDMI adaptor

can someone do a small test to see if new HDMI adaptor allows mirroring on original iPad? By the descriptions on Apple Store, it seems to act pretty much like AV cable for any non-iPad 2 devices that are compatible... but can someone do a quick test to see what are the exact limitations?

Mirroring only works with ipad2

Mirroring does not work with iPad 1. But it does send audio through hdmi in the video app. didn't have time to try any other apps yet.
