I have videos I would like to watch on an old (non hdml) tv which is not connected to cable when I am running on the treadmill in my cellar. I thought I could buy the Apple composite tv cable (http://www.apple.com/shop/product/MC748AM/A/apple-composite-av-cable) with a lightning to 30 pin adapter.
    This does not work.
    Can anyone suggest another method?

Why does it not work. The description of the item in the website seems to exactly describe what you purchased it for.

I found out Xfinity doesn't allow sending signal to external monitors. I solved the problem by getting a slingbox.
