The second most obvious place to get your iPhone 4 is from AT&T. This is the only choice, as far as I’m aware, for (US) upgraders. So if you already have an iPhone and live in the US, you have to go through AT&T unless you want to pay full price or start another line of service.

I thought you could do an upgrade from Apple.com, Best Buy, or any of those places? According to Appletell, you can only do upgrades from AT&T directly.

Isn't this misinformation?

According to pretty much all information provided, yeah you're right. Total misinformation. Apple was able to transition everyone else's services from 3G to 3GS, so this will really fan flames right now. Total BS in my book.
