I dont knowif im having a blond moment however; i cant find my calculator app!
I didnt think you could delete one of the built in apps on an Ipad Air.
Help:eek:

i wish they allowed you to remove the stock apps that you didn't need or use. i don't need contacts, compass, voice memos, stocks, game center etc..

Thanks for your speedy replies ugcop & charlituna - I thought I was going bonkers:rolleyes:good to have inpependent advice.

I also agree with the other forum members - Apple should give you the opportunity to remove some of the lesser needed apps. After all we are adults and know what we want - don't we:D

iPad Home-page icons/Room 2 move

The iPad w/14+[1 home page]
Room for:20 icons ea./280 icons
Room for 280 folders:9 icons ea./2,520 icons
Also,ea.folder has multiple pages..enough space
for a lifetime;unless your a #.

You've Got Room 2 Move.#

okay but i don't like having pages upon pages of apps, i like one screen.

There is no built in calculator app on iPads

That just baffles me, I know we can get any number of free ones and I'm not married to iOS version, but its really more out of curiosity, why in the world did apple exclude that

Good Question. They obviously did not ask us {their customers). Maybe they thought that we would be better off choosing our own app! Like, I did not need a scientific calculator; just one with big buttons and free.

The thing is with apple they'll never ask what the customer wants they'll tell us, which I'm ok with. Yet when building out the iPad iOS implementation they had to overtly decide to exclude apps - someone thought "gee, they won't need a calculator app" Just odd.

I never use the calculator app, and I find it rather useless. I always use Wolfram Alpha! It's a much more capable calculator.

I know! I realized that after Apple removed the "Calculator" stock application, I always find myself needing it lol.

Hopefully it will make a return to iOS in the future.

The lack of a Calculator is just one of a MULTITUDE of reasons the iPad is no OSX laptop. It's maybe 25% of a laptop in capability and usefulness.

I hope the rumors that the iPad Pro will have OSX or a hybrid version of iOS and OSX are true, so that the device will have more like 75% of the capability of an OSX laptop.

It's likely that the iPad will soon have some hybrid OS X features. But, it's still got a ways to go, and a lot more development.
