DOH!!!!

Using the terminal, I somehow moved my desktop folder away from its regular spot and, hard to believe, now have issues.

On the physical desktop, all the files are missing, except my drives.

I found the folder, but I can't seem to put it back to where it should go.

I tried this:

mv /apps/Desktop /

This moved it back to the 'root' folder, but the files aren't back on the physical desktop.

Does anyone know where EXACTLY the Desktop folder belongs? If not, is there a workaround? My Desktop is useless until the issue can be resolved.

Thanks in advance

I know Terminal pretty well now, after installing MySQL and PHP software.

I was actually able to figure it out, and will be more careful.

sudo mv /my-butt /out-of-fire

Thanks...this is a great forum!
