For some reason, my iMac has decided that the only language in its spell checking is Polish. When I go into system preferences, language and text all of the languages are listed under the language tab, but when I go into text and look to chose the language for spell cheking, all that is availible is Polish. When I click "set-up" polish is also the only language checked. In the library/spelling folder I have the files dynamic-text.dat and LocalDictionary.

My MacBook Air, which does not have this issue, has the same files in the spelling folder. Both computers are running 10.7.5.

The GeniusBar recomended that I completely reinstall my OS, but I'm wondering if there might be an easier fix? I could also wait for Mavericks to be released and see if installing that fixes the problem…

Has anyone had a similar issue? Or know a way to fix this?

Thanks
