I was given a Canon Ixy Digital L4, and I can't seem to find any support for it on the web; even at Canon's website.

I later found out that the Ixy Digital L4 is the Asian version of the Powershot SD40. Strangely, the manuals and language on the camera were all in English.

Anyways, the problem is, there is no available driver for the SD40, yet when I plug my camera into the USB port and turn it on, the disk won't mount.

Image Capture recognizes the camera and lets me download them, but I'd rather just take them off the drive.

Does anyone know where I could find a mac driver for this camera?

I'm running a 15" Macbook Pro, OS 10.5.7, 2 GHz Intel Core Duo.

Thanks!

There are $5.00 keychain cameras that support USB Automount, but Canon does not. At least, Image Capture works for you.

If you want mount your pictures on your Desktop, then as easy solution is to get a card reader.
