Has anyone notices broken app icons for word .docx files and mkv files in "icon view mode"? the first screenshot shows plain white and exec file for mkv file, even though I have associated them with vlc player. They run fine but the icons are messed up. Similarly two word files have an icon and one doesn't.

The second screen shot is taken in list view and shows a very strange behaviour. Those icons which were missing now shows proper icons and those which had icons, now shows blank files.

Could this be that the office and vlc apps have not been updated for yosemite? Or is this a bug? Because if the app are not updated, why some icons are showing while other not for the same file types.

p.s. I have installed latest vlc 2.2.0 nightly, MS Office 2011 and Movist player.

Ditto, I've noticed a lot of those in the Beta, system files too. Mac Preferences folder even shows a lot of icons like that, I just figured it was the incompleteness of the Beta.
