I was reading about accessories that are relevant to the Mbpro on the Apple site and it states "The Apple Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) cable has Thunderbolt logo on the sleeve of each connector" curious I looked and there was nothing. I know Apple are sticklers when it comes to their brand so is it likely I have a knock-off cable?

PS. The Mac & adapter are genuine.

If you're referring to the charge cable that came with the Mac - it isn't a Thunderbolt 3 cable. It's just a USB-C charge cable. It won't carry any TB3 signal and only carries a USB signal at 480Mbps (USB 2.0 speed).

I'm sorry that was a gaff on my part, yes it is the standard USB-C charge cable supplied with the Mac. Is it the case then that the charge cable sleeve won't carry the Apple logo?

The Apple supplied charge cable does not have any logos or markings on it. It is just plain white. Do I understand what you are asking correctly?
