I think theres just a row of 4 icons, then a row of 3. Case closed.

There was a missing space in iPhone's third row before it was released. A few days before Apple announced YouTube was the missing app. That missing app generated quite a lot of buzz so it's likely to think that they're repeating this thing for iPod Touch.

What could it be? Google Maps, Mail?

I'm open to being proven wrong, but I don't think there's anything hidden here. The YouTube thing was added later because the deal hadn't gone through yet.

I don't think Apple is in the business of withholding things just for fun.
