Missing iPhone SIM card at Apple store haha

I was in an Apple store and thought it was kind of funny that someone had apparently taken the SIM card(along with the tray) from one of the iPhones.

I don't believe the models in stores have SIM cards. Stealing the tray? That's a bit tacky.

Why wouldn't they.
They work completely; internet, calling, SMS, etc.
